"...and my rims keep spinning everytime I stop..."

It's difficult for a preppy, suburban, white kid to say (much less write) the title of this post with any street cred, but I tried my best. We did live in Crestwood after all. Anyway, Harper now has some sweet wheels thanks to Dad and Gail - sweet in a stylish, big-box retail designer kind of way.

See Ya Feet

6 months pregnant and the feet have disappeared. Elizabeth thought it would be funny to take a picture. I thought it'd be funnier to put the picture on the internet. It probably won't be as funny when she sees this....
Hope her shoes match.

Working on the Nursery

Nothing says it's time to paint like a Cut Your Mullet t-shirt.

Trying to figure out how to put the crib together.

Still working on it...

Pretty confident I did this correctly. If I had to put a number on it, I'd say about 80% sure.

Bust A Move

Got bored last night and decided to put head phones on Elizabeth's belly to see if everything I've read about playing music for your baby is true (thanks to Elizabeth for being a good sport). So I played a random array of songs to see if Harper would cut a rug. Not that these two are even remotely related, but when Dave Matthews got her toe tapping, I figured I'd step the tempo up a notch and play some Eminem. Apparently Harper digs Eminem...I pictured her dancing like MC Hammer, only without the baggy pants.

Just Past the Halfway Mark

22 weeks down...18 to go.
Harper is growing and getting stronger which means the strength of her kicks is increasing. Elizabeth has been able to feel the flutters and the kicks for quite some time and I've just recently been able to feel them. It's a pretty neat experience - weird, but neat. As the days pass and as Harper continues to grow, the Livin Room is sure to get a little more cramped.

It's a Girl!

During the March ultrasound, once the baby decided to sit still for 3 seconds, we were able to tell that we're having a little girl. After her photo op, she continued on her somersaulting and swimming journey through the womb - or "Livin Room" as we like to call it. After she took a few laps around the Livin Room, she stopped for a minute and we were able to see her practice "fetal breathing," which was an extremely fascinating sight. We're expecting Harper Sophia to join us September 5th.
