Baby Cup

These may be difficult to see, but Elizabeth's mother/Harper's Giagia gave Elizabeth a very special gift over the weekend at her shower in Atlanta. It's a silver cup that belonged to Elizabeth's mother when she was a baby (don't worry Paula, I won't tell how old the cup is). The cup has Giagia's name and birthdate engraved on one side, and Harper's first and middle name engraved on the other. It was definitely a touching gift to receive. Once Harper is born, we'll take it and have her birthday engraved under her name so it'll match the other side.
And...well...on the off-chance Harper comes out a boy, thanks for the pen holder, Giagia!

St. George Island - One Last Hurrah

Spent the weekend in St. George Island after the doctor gave us the go ahead for one last trip before the baby comes. We enjoyed our time with my grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins on my mom's side. Elizabeth has officially been grounded for the month of August as we are on lock-down in Atlanta until our little crumb snatcher joins us.

Georgia Peach

On our way home from St. George Island we stopped in Fort Valley for some ice cream and a visit to Lane Southern Orchards - home to some of the best peaches, strawberries and pecans you'll find on the planet. Featured on The Food Network and the Travel Channel on numerous occasions, Lane Peaches definitely did not disappoint.

Back in Birmingham
